PUBG Lovers, Rejoice!!! Akshay Kumar Unveils FAU-G, it’s Made-in-India alternative

Since the Indian government has announced PUBG ban, apart from the ban of over 100 Chinese apps due to increasing border tension and data security issues, a lot of players were desperately looking for alternatives of PUBG Mobile. Recently, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has unveiled FAU-G, its Indian rival.

The game is being developed by nCore Games, a Bangalore-based company which is invested by Vishal Gondal, a gaming industry leader in India. The full form of FAU-G is “Fearless and United-Guards”.

After Pulwama terror attack in 2019, Akshay Kumar had also launched Bharat Ke Veer app for helping the families of soldiers in India. He also pledged that 20% of revenue from this multiplayer game will be donated to the government’s fund which is dedicated to paramilitary forces.

Akshay Kumar has also announced this project to support government’s initiative of Atmanirbhar Bharat launched by PM Modi in the wake of COVID-19 crisis.

Developed by a Chinese social media and gaming firm Tencent Gaming, PUBG Mobile ranked as one of the top 5 mobile games with whopping download count of 700 million.

Mr. Gondal said, “The company was already working on the game. The first level is set in the backdrop of Galwan Valley, which refers to the clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in June in Ladakh where 20 Indian soldiers were martyr and huge number of casualties was reported in China’s side. The launch date of FAU-G will fall somewhere around the end of October.”

Mr. Gondal also said that Akshay Kumar also played a vital role in developing the concept of the game. According to him, the company is expecting to gain up to 200 million users within a year.

PUBG has been vanished from Google Play and Apple App stores by now (at the time of writing this post). Tancent also responded to the ban imposed by Indian government due to the recent Chinese provocation. On Thursday, the company said that it is serious for the protection of user data and privacy. They said that they would communicate with the authorities in India to keep providing its apps in India.

The IT Ministry added that all 118 Chinese apps including PUBG were engaged in activities against the integrity and sovereignty of India. Earlier, the government banned 59 Chinese apps like TikTok, UC Browser and WeChat.

A recent report suggests that Chinese tech giant has suffered the loss of whopping $34 billion when it comes to market value within 2 days after the ban. Along with PUBG Mobile, other apps which were banned are PUBG Mobile Lite, Arena of Valor, Ludo World, and Chess Run.

FAU-G Launch Date

The game features the real situations that can be relatable to the operations by Indian Armed Forces against foreign and national threats. You may expect this game to hit app stores by the end of October.

FAU-G – Where to Download?

Interestingly, FAU-G is the third-person action shooting game in which the backdrop of Galwan Valley will be set in its first level. Players will be able to download the game on Google Play store and Apple App store.

According to Akshay Kumar, gaming has been a huge medium of entertainment for Indian youth. He is expecting FAU-G to teach the youth about the sacrifices made by the soldiers and also play a big role in helping the families of martyrs and support “AtmaNirbhar Bharat” vision of PM Modi.
