Around 6 months ago, Realme launched Realme 6/6 Pro in India. It seems too early but the company has introduced their successors as Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro. The all-new Realme 7 Series have bigger batteries, faster charging, and improved camera sensors. Their back panel also got a new design.

Realme 7 Series – Key Specs

First of all, let’s talk about what’s new in Realme 7 Pro. Like Realme 6 Pro, Realme 7 Pro also packs Snapdragon 720G chipset. But it has some major upgrades in other departments as compared to its earlier sibling.

The 65W SuperDart fast charging is the major highlight. Only a few premium models of some companies have managed to come with this feature. According to Realme, its 4500mAh battery can easily charge within 34 minutes from 0 to 100%.

When Realme 6 Pro had 6.6-inch LCD panel, Realme 7 Pro has 6.4” Super AMOLED panel, which looks brighter and better, despite its smaller size. It is also easier to hold and more compact. It has dropped refresh rate to 60Hz from 90Hz.

According to Realme, the company took this decision on public demand. Many customers have opinioned in favor of 60Hz AMOLED rather than LCD panel. In addition, it has in-display fingerprint sensor and Always-on display instead of side-mounted sensor in predecessor.

There were 6 cameras in total in Realme 6 Pro – 4 on the rear and 2 on the front. But Realme 7 Pro has dropped ultrawide angle selfie camera of 8MP and, instead, added 16MP front shooter with 32MP front.

The quad-camera setup also has some changes. Realme has added 2MP depth sensor and removed 12MP telephoto zoom lens. It also retained 2MP macro lens and 8MP ultrawide angle lens. Along with them, the main camera packs 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor.

Like Realme 6 Pro, the 7 Pro has Dolby Atmos with stereo speakers. In addition, it runs Android 10 on Realme UI and comes in Mirror Silver and Mirror Blue color options. Other features include support for dual-frequency GPS, microSD dedicated card slot, 3.5mm jack, and USB-C port.

Realme 7

Realme 7 hasn’t made any change on display (FullHD+ 6.5” 90Hz LCD) but it is powered by Helio G95 processor, making it the first smartphone in the world with this latest chipset. It is a minor upgrade to G90T in Realme 6. We just hope it resolved the overheating issues in its predecessor.

In addition, it has got bigger 5000mAh battery which is a major upgrade from 4300mAh in its predecessor. It comes with 30W Dart charger out of the box which, according to the company, can charge the battery within 65 minutes from 0 to 100%.

It also has Sony IMX682 64MP camera and the rest of the setup is similar to that of 6 Pro’s, such as 16MP selfie camera on the front, and 8MP ultrawide shooter, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro cameras on the back joining the primary camera on the back.

But Realme 7 Series has added Starry Mode to move from AI to PRO and vice versa in Night Mode and 64MP mode. But the next OTA update will come with this feature.

Other features include Android 10 on Realme UI, dedicated microSD slot, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm jack, USB-C port, and two variants – 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB.
