When Xiaomi and Oppo are leading the budget smartphone market already, Nokia and Gionee are finally making a comeback with their upcoming smartphone launches. If you are planning to buy a new smartphone, little bit of wait is worth. Till then, you should check out this updated list of upcoming smartphone launches in and around September 2020.

Rebranding, Rebranding, Rebranding!!! Am I the only one who is tired seeing Redmi and Realme rebranding their phones again and again? On August 27, Xiaomi is launching another smartphone Redmi 9 in India. Their rebranding strategy is really confusing. They rebranded their global variant of Redmi 9 and launched the same as Redmi 9 Prime in India. Now they are rebranding either Redmi 9C or Redmi 9A and launching the same as Redmi 9. Seriously???
FYI, this budget smartphone may have 64GB storage and up to 3GB RAM, Mediatek Hellio G35 and 6.53” HD+ display. It will be running Android 10 based MIUI 10 and pack a 5000mAh battery.

Well, it is one of the most awaited upcoming smartphone launches as Gionee is finally making a comeback in India. On August 25, Gionee Max is scheduled to launch on Flipkart at 2 PM. It has teased a budget smartphone, Gionee Max which will be priced under Rs. 6000. This entry-level device will pack 32GB storage and 2GB RAM. It will feature a 5000mAh battery and 6.1” HD+ display.

It is one of the most exciting upcoming smartphone launches I am personally excited for. After taking a long break due to COVID-19, Nokia is coming back with Nokia 5.3, a mid-range smartphone in Indian market which is featured already in its official website. It will feature 6.55” HD+ display with 1600x720p resolution. It will be offered in Sand, Cyan and Charcoal color variants. It has got 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage and will be paired with 4GB/6GB RAM. You can expand the storage up to 512GB via external memory card. As usual, this Nokia smartphone will also run stock Android 10. It will have 10W charging support and be backed by 4000mAh battery (Don’t know why Nokia is still not providing fast charging support).
The Nokia 5.3 will have quad rear camera setup, including 13MP main camera, 5MP secondary, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensors. It sports 8MP selfie camera in waterdrop notch. The specs seem not that promising except stock Android and brand value. But the device will be priced below Rs. 15000 to give competition to the mid-range smartphones of Vivo, Oppo, Mi, Realme and others.
After having a mixed reaction for Edge+, Motorola is launching a budget smartphone in India. It was spotted with Snapdragon 460 octa-core chipset and 4GB/64GB variant on Geekbench. It will have 48MP rear camera on the dual rear camera setup. It might have a 5000mAh battery with fast charging and a waterdrop notch.

It is another upcoming budget smartphone with 4GB/64GB variant and Snapdragon 460 chipset. Major highlight of this phone is its 90Hz refresh rate on 6.5” HD punch hole display. It has two 2MP sensors and 16MP main sensor on the rear setup. It is powered by 5000mAh big battery with support for 18W fast charging. The price is also expected to be around Rs. 15000 in Indian market.
